Policy Overview This Intellectual Property (IP) Policy outlines the ownership, rights, and protections for all intellectual property on the Vidyari platform. It applies to all users, content creators, buyers, and platform visitors.
1. Vidyari's Intellectual Property
1.1 What We Own
Vidyari retains full ownership of the following:
- Platform Software: All code, algorithms, and technology powering Vidyari
- Website Design: Layout, design, graphics, and user interface
- Brand & Trademarks: Vidyari name, logo, slogans, and brand identity
- Copyrightable Content: Original written content, documentation, tutorials created by our team
- Database Compilation: The collection and organization of user content
- Proprietary Systems: Search algorithms, recommendation engines, analytics
- Improvement Ideas: Features built from user feedback
1.2 Protection Methods
Vidyari's IP is protected by:
- Copyright law (works automatically copyrighted upon creation)
- Trademark registration
- Patent applications (where applicable)
- Trade secret protections
- Contractual agreements with employees and contractors
- Technical security measures (encryption, access controls)
- Terms of Service restrictions on unauthorized use
1.3 Your Limited License
By using Vidyari, you receive a limited, revocable license to:
- Access the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Use the website to browse and purchase content
- Download purchased digital materials for personal use
Strict Prohibitions
You DO NOT receive rights to:
- Reproduce or distribute Vidyari itself
- Create derivative works of the platform
- Commercially exploit the platform
- Use our brand, trademarks, or logos
- Reverse engineer or decompile the software
2. User-Generated Content Ownership
2.1 Your Ownership Rights
When you create and upload content to Vidyari, YOU RETAIN ownership of that content. Specifically:
- You own the copyright to original materials you create
- You retain all intellectual property rights
- You can modify or delete your content anytime
- You can request removal of your content
- You can prevent others from using your materials (with our enforcement)
2.2 License You Grant to Vidyari
When you upload content, you grant Vidyari the right to:
- Display: Show your content on the platform
- Distribute: Deliver your content to users who purchase it
- Reproduce: Make copies for platform operation and backup
- Promote: Use your content in marketing/advertising (with your original consent)
- Analyze: Examine content for trends and improvements
- Index: Include your content in search and browsing
- Enforce Rights: Protect your content against infringement on our platform
2.3 License Scope
The license you grant Vidyari is:

2.4 Your Representations
By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own all rights to the content or have permission
- Content does not infringe any third-party rights
- Content complies with all applicable laws
- You have obtained necessary permissions from any subjects (people, quotes, etc.)
- Content is your original work (or properly licensed)
- You will defend Vidyari from IP claims regarding your content
3. Protection of Copyrighted Content
3.1 Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Compliance
Vidyari complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and will:
- Respond to valid DMCA takedown notices
- Remove infringing content within 10 business days
- Notify content creators of takedown notices
- Provide counter-notice procedures
- Maintain records of copyright complaints
- Implement repeat infringer policies
3.2 Copyright Infringement Notice
Reporting Procedure
To report copyright infringement, send a formal notice to:
Your notice must include:
- Your full name and contact information
- Description of the copyrighted work
- Location of infringing content on Vidyari (direct link)
- Your relationship to the copyright owner
- Statement that you have a good faith belief infringement has occurred
- Statement under penalty of perjury that information is accurate
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
3.3 Counter-Notice Procedure
If you receive a DMCA takedown notice and believe it was wrong:
- Send written counter-notice to Vidyari
- Include the removed content URL
- Include your statement of good faith belief that removal was mistaken
- Include your contact information and under-perjury statement
- Consent to jurisdiction of relevant court
Note: False counter-notices may result in legal liability.
3.4 Repeat Infringer Policy
Users who repeatedly infringe copyright will:
- Receive warnings after first violation
- Face account suspension after second violation
- Have their account permanently terminated after third violation
- Be reported to relevant authorities if pattern indicates criminal infringement
4. Trademark & Brand Protection
4.1 Our Trademarks
The following are registered/unregistered trademarks of Vidyari:
- VIDYARI (word mark)
- Vidyari logo and design
- Any variations or stylizations of the above
4.2 Permitted Use of Our Marks
You may use Vidyari marks ONLY:
- When referring to the Vidyari service in marketing (fair use)
- As a seller describing where you sell
- In partnership or affiliation descriptions (if approved)
4.3 Prohibited Trademark Uses
You MAY NOT:
- Register Vidyari trademarks as domain names
- Create similar marks that could cause confusion
- Use our marks in product names
- Register our marks on social media
- Use our marks to imply endorsement without permission
- Combine our marks with your brand to create confusion
- Use marks in comparative advertising
5. Patent & Innovation
5.1 Vidyari Patents
Vidyari may own or be applying for patents on proprietary algorithms, unique system designs, novel features, or technical innovations.
5.2 User Innovation
If you share ideas or innovations with Vidyari:
- You keep ownership of the idea
- Vidyari gains rights to use it
- You cannot prevent Vidyari from using the idea
- Implement usage in Terms of Service
6. Third-Party Content Rights
6.1 Purchased Digital Content
When you purchase educational materials, you receive:
- A personal, non-exclusive license to VIEW and USE for personal education
- Right to store one personal backup copy
- Right to take notes and annotations for personal use
License Restrictions
You DO NOT receive ownership or rights to:
- Modify or create derivatives
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense
- Translate or adapt
- Incorporate into other works
- Commercial use
6.2 Attribution Requirements
If content requires attribution, you must include the author/creator name, provide copyright notice, link to original source, and retain all notices in copies you make.
6.3 Open License Content
Some content may be under Creative Commons or other open licenses. In those cases, the terms of the specific open license apply, and the creator's preferences must be respected.
7. Trade Secrets & Confidential Information
7.1 What We Consider Trade Secrets
Vidyari's trade secrets include proprietary algorithms, business strategies, user data, pricing models, and any information marked "Confidential".
7.2 Your Obligations
If you receive confidential information:
- Keep it confidential
- Use only for authorized purposes
- Do not disclose to third parties
- Do not reverse engineer or analyze
- Return/destroy upon request
8. Creator Rights & Seller Protection
8.1 Your Rights as a Seller
As a content creator, you have the right to:
- Set your own price
- Control distribution
- Modify content (with notice to buyers)
- Remove content (with notice to buyers)
- Earn revenue from sales
- Have content protected against theft
- Receive transaction reports
8.2 Protecting Your Content
Vidyari helps protect your content by requiring login for downloads, tracking activity, removing pirated versions, investigating reports, and warning buyers against redistribution.
8.3 Your Responsibilities as Seller
You must ensure content ownership or proper licensing, no third-party IP infringement, clear disclosure if not original creator, no plagiarism, and compliance with all laws.
9. Fair Use & Educational Exception
9.1 Fair Use Rights
Nothing in this policy restricts your fair use rights under copyright law, which include commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, research, and limited quotation.
9.2 Educational Use
Educators may use content for classroom purposes if used for direct instruction, limited to classroom size/duration, attributed properly, and not republished commercially.
10. Enforcement & Dispute Resolution
10.1 Enforcement Actions
If someone infringes your IP on Vidyari, we will review your complaint, remove infringing content (if valid), notify the infringer, document the complaint, and warn repeat infringers.
10.2 Dispute Process
If you dispute an infringement claim, submit a counter-notice, provide evidence of your rights, explain why removal was incorrect, and accept potential court jurisdiction.
12. Policy Updates
Vidyari may update this IP Policy at any time. Updated terms become effective immediately upon posting.
